VENTURE JUNIOR-SENIOR MINISTRY

We are finally going to formally kick off our new Junior-Senior Ministry, VENTURE, this spring. We will meet twice a month on different nights to try our best to accommodate busy schedules. While our new Parish Life Center is under construction, we will be meeting at different public locations in Lakeway that are easy for all to find. If you have a suggestion for a venue, please let us know.

What is VENTURE about? Primarily we want upperclassmen to have an opportunity to hang out with each other and with some of the Core Team. We will have open question/answer sessions, devote certain nights to teaching on special topics, and also study the Bible. Attendance is completely open to upperclassmen and friends. This group will also provide us with time to do leadership planning for Outcry events and SNL.

What is Steubenville?  It's a nation-wide youth conference sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.  Hundreds of thousands of people have attended these conferences around the country.  The event is a weekend-long youth rally with dynamic speakers, outstanding music, Mass, Reconciliation, Adoration, and more.  This is a life-changing experience for many people who go; whether because they experience God's love in a profound way for the first time in a talk or Adoration, experience the dynamics of fellowship with a group of peers in a small group, or are just completely moved by the music.   We attend Steubenville Mid-America in Springfield, Missouri, sponsored by the Diocese of St. Louis.
