This meeting will provide you with all the information you need to begin the process of preparation for confirmation.  Students are enrolled at this time.  This is the only way that we enroll students.  No one is automatically enrolled in the Confirmation process.  If you are unable to attend, you must meet with Kristen or Linda Chavez, our Director of Faith Formation. 

Step 2:  Students attends Sunday Night Live on Sunday night at 6pm.  This is a necessary component of the preparation process.  This is where a considerable amount of formation happens—catechetical, spiritual, and communal. After two absences in one semester, you will asked to meet with Kristen to catch up on anything you have missed.

Step 3:  Students attend an 8-week course in the Spring of 2009.  This course will only be offered once per year for ALL students planning to be confirmed that same fall.  This course prepares them specifically for the celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation.  The classes will take place on Wednesdays from January 7th to February 25th.

Step: 4:  Students attend a retreat in August of 2009.  A retreat is a diocesan requirement as well as a wonderful opportunity for your students to grow in faith. 

Step 5:  Students arrange 3 meetings with their sponsor using material we provide.  This will give student and sponsor an opportunity to grow in faith together. 

Step 6:  Students attend 3 Confirmation Ice Cream Socials in fall 2009.  These gatherings will serve as an opportunity to touch base with the students and reinforce fellowship. 

Step 7:  Students attend Afternoon of Reflection with sponsor on the day before the celebration of Confirmation that includes a rehearsal.  (November 2009)

Step 8:  Confirmation Liturgy at the 5:00 Youth Mass on a Sunday TBA in  November, celebrated by Bishop Aymond.
